Jillian Groshans, a resident of Albany County since 2013, is an associate attorney at DerOhannesian and DerOhannesian. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and English from the State University of New York at Albany in 2017. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School in 2020. During her time in law school, Ms. Groshans was on the Dean’s List and served as a teaching assistant for the law school Evidence course. Ms. Groshans participated in the Justice Center at Albany Law School in the Family Violence Litigation Clinic and the Domestic Violence Prosecution Hybrid Clinic.

Ms. Groshans is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. Prior to joining DerOhannesian and DerOhannesian in 2021, Ms. Groshans practiced Family and Matrimonial Law.

While at DerOhannesian and DerOhannesian, Ms. Groshans has participated in multiple litigation matters involving Criminal, Civil, Election Law, Administrative Hearings, and Estate matters. Ms. Groshans has thoroughly researched and written about legal issues pertaining to the area of sexual assault. She has successfully litigated matters involving Temporary Restraining Orders and preliminary injunctions. Ms. Groshans has also been involved in motion practice, which ultimately resulted in the dismissal of several felony charges.
